You can force a leopard to do something, but you never change its spots.

Sometimes, I wonder if I am assisting in solving the problem or if I am making it worse. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy his or her life? As much as I want to, I can’t. I ain’t complaining because I know complaining works no more.

Ignoring may not be the right way of handling this. But since there is no other solutions to the problem, ignoring the pain I’m going through is the only way out.

Let’s not hope for the better because it won’t be.
Let’s just hope that it wouldn’t get any more worse.

ODAC Stong (1 July to 4 July)

It is a 4D3N trip organized by the friendly ODAC committee and my camp friends were so enthusiastic about it that they signed up for me. The cost is only $90, why not right?

Before the trip, 2 out of 5 girls backed out. No matter how we persuade them to go, they wouldn’t change their minds, probably because they have too many commitments.

As there are many things to carry, we were handed with the canisters. They are light and compact, heng ah, I wasn’t the one who was assigned with eggs of mess tins and cooking utensils, if not, it may gonna get very messy.

Day 1
Where is Stong? What is it? In which part of Malaysia? No one knows. To get there, we have to take a 12 hours of train (with beds). Since there is only Miss Ho, Miss Tan and myself, there is an empty bed. Being nice, we allowed a Netherlands guy to sleep with us.

See how happy Miss Tan and Miss Ho were! It seems like they loved the train beds.

Talking about that guy, if I were to tell you that whatever that is going in the toilet bowl goes out straight onto the tracks, are you amazed? I was, so were the girls. And that angmoh said very sarcastically that we TYPICAL SINGAPOREANS just can’t accept anything. What the hell right? That was a pretty obvious insult la.

Then he started talking bad about Singaporeans when he had an ex-Singaporean girlfriend (the girl must have removed the stamps on her eyes then). Like that never mind leh, while trying to teach him how to play Bridge (a card game), he actually said that I was confusing him and I am not good at teaching. –pui–

The whole train ride there was terrible when I got motion sickness and an angmoh snoring right below me. I didn’t sleep at all lah, and when I joked with him about his snoring, he just got back to me. How? After joking, we had about 2 hours more to our destination, and so he CLAIMED that he didn’t sleep just to let me sleep and my snoring was very loud also (my friends told me that I was just BREATHING LOUDLY). What a bastard, can’t even take a single joke. After the train ride, no more talking to him.

Day 2
Oh, we were actually at Kelantan, an hour car ride from Thailand. No wonder the journey was 12 hours. Getting our bags to a safe room, we headed for caving.

3 caves: Dark cave, Sager cave and Spider trap cave

The routes were tough: up the hill with no proper roads, just grass, branches and rocks. But because of it, it made the whole caving experience fun. The angmoh? Just couldn’t stop scolding vulgarities and shouting he wanted to give up.

Back to the room of bags, we carried our bagpacks and started trekking up to the waterfall of Stong, which is about 400 metres above sea level. 400 freaking metres leh! With our huge heavy bagpacks, it was damn challenging for me lah. I see Miss Ho and Miss Tan like climb until no kick like that, make me super stress sia. Some parts of the route were like the inside of MacRitchie Reservoir, while most of it was like stepping on rocks and branches of tress to reach for higher ground.

Finally! After 4 hours of trekking, we reached our destination! The base camp! The waterfall!

Pitch tents, settle down and it’s time for fun! The mother nature is so nice to humans that she created a slide!

All you see here is just a plain waterfall and nothing else.

But there is actually a walkway to the slide and a hole for our butts to prepare for the slide!

And down we go! Whee~

The slide is like almost 70 degrees slanted lah! So fun that we took the slide twice!

Oh, because it is a waterfall, it was our only water supply. Ya lah, we bathed inside the water literally lah. And we actually take the water there to drink and cook lah.

Dinner was fun: cooking ourselves with whatever we had bought and carried up. We got everything you want to eat! Chicken rice, fried rice, thai curry, pasta. Ha! But the irritating part was that the angmoh wasn’t helping out in cooking and was waiting to be served lah. Argh. While cooking, I accidentally got my left calve a pretty 1st degree burnt sia. Sighs, suay lor, what else can I say?

While the guys were getting the utensils washed, the rain came, causing a sudden rush of water at the waterfall. Luckily, the guides went over to ask them out from the area, if not, I really don’t know what will happen sia.

Day 3
It was raining again, and our waterfall trekking was cancelled because of the rise of water level. It was damn sad. So, basically, we tried going up the tip of the waterfall but rain came, so we were drenched by rainwater while rushing our way down back to the camp. Hide in the tent was what we did. Damn sad lah.

After lunch, we packed up and trekked down again. To me, climbing up is hard because of gravity and muscle aches but going down is even worse when the routes were damn dangerous due to rain and slippery “walkways”. I was skiing down most of the times lah, luckily got SQ who had a pair of wonderful trekking boots to guide me throughout. Red moon was there encouraging and supporting me throughout too. Thanks to them, I made it to the ground in one piece.

Since we had to wait for the train for about 4 hours, we started to take photos for free like that.

Day 4
We were supposed to be back in Singapore at 10am! But we were 10 hours away from home! Why? There was a landslide and a bull committed suicide, these 2 incidents caused a delay of 12 hours lah! To kill time, we played bridge throughout. Ha.

Other than that bastard who was a burden (he had had his bag carried by one of the guides who is like 40kg only lah) throughout the whole trip, I met really nice people. And glad that I went for it.

To think of it now, it was a huge sense of satisfaction to trek such a waterfall.

I wanna go again! =D

A month without any updates?

I was gone for a OutDoor Adventure Camp (ODAC). Then I went away for Insinyur Senior Camp. Not more than 3 days of rest, Camp Insinyur was next. After 4 precious days of resting, I am now in a chalet. Pretty tied up right?

Okay. I promise to write a detailed post when I am free.
Meanwhile, allow me to enjoy my stay in Downtown East.

I am always getting myself stressed up for small things. Why? So as to get myself prepare for the worst. I mean, isn't it that better when good things happen in the end?

I was supposed to go for 2 tuitions yesterday, but the bugger cancelled it again 2 hours before the tuition. Tampines leh! Freaking far man. And I had to go down all the way just to teach the other one 1 hour for $15. Argh.

Then, a phone call came in and changed the programs entirely. It was Miss Wong. Yup, I keng sick again and I feel super bad about it.

I have to get used of being gooseberry because my good friends are attached and I have to meet them in a couple what, right?

Miss Wong’s boyfriend is a drinker, so after dinner, 2 bottles of Heineken and a bottle of Tiger appeared on the table. After pouring out the last drip of the third bottle, 4 more Heineken came, then another one. Seriously, I am not a drinker and 8 bottles for the 3 of us are too much. What happens? I got too high.

I don’t really remember what happened then. I don’t even know what Miss Wong and her boyfriend were talking about (he is super talkative when he is high). Ha. All I know is that I took a cab home and when I’m home, I switched on the lappy, hoping that I don’t have to play Dota, I started messaging nonsense, I bathed (I don’t know how did I manage to bath sia) and I slept on my lappy. So yup, please excuse me for being nonsensical.

Now, my head is still spinning like nobody’s business, my right eyelid is swollen for no good reasons and I’m coughing my lungs out soon. Serve me right. –coughs–

Oh, my job scope in Singapore Expo! See, I was being employed by the agency, and Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) is the client. SES had placed me with the Singapore Expo (Singex) Concierge team to handle questions on the exhibition. But to be honest, the people there are well informed about the exhibitions already. So, in some ways, I am redundant.

Yup, Singex can’t ask me to do anything as I am not their staff and SES just wants me to be there to handle questions on the exhibitions. That’s why I was so free! Ha. Singex team is so fun! Joking around, playing and making fun of each other. With them around, my time passed super fast!

I was kinda attached to them in a way; on the last day, I couldn’t bear to leave. Aunty Alice asked me if I would want to work as a part-timer. I seriously don’t mind! But it will tie down my whole weekend and I would only want to work on Saturday. So, yup. The outcome is still pending.

I felt cheated. Initially, he suggested on paying 50% of my bike lessons, requested me to keep all the receipts as evidences and in return, I have to take over his Vespa once I got my license. Now? He renamed it as a loan and I have to get my own bike. I have to agree that taking over his Vespa is not a good idea. And I know he is not obligated to pay my expenses on bike lessons, but I didn’t want to take up at first because I’m financially tight that time lor. He was the one who persuaded me lah. Sighs. I am at lesson 5 already and TP is just 2 practical lessons away. What to do? Continue lor. I understand his financial status now. But cannot cheat me like that one right?

GL chalet was turned out kinda weird. I don't why, I am always the one who is kanna tio aim one. What to do? I can't throw the arrow to someone else right? -ponder- I could. But aiya, who wants to do this kinda sia kang? Hmm.. I thought we were supposed to be playing together as a whole? Not in different small clicks? So as to know each other more? Sighs. The 4 of us felt so outcased. Oh, including the stepped-down CGL. So bored that we went to Downtown East McDonald's to have a heart to heart talk sia.

Since I am pretty free this week, it's time for some catchups with friends! Though meeting up just for that 3 hours, we had fun and joy! How can I ever live without them man? Been through some much shit already, I think they are really my friends forever. Hmmm. Imagine all of us are 60 years old, sitting in the coffee shop, complaining about life, that’s so cute! Ha.

Oh, next week ah. I will be away! To Stong in Malaysia! The camp is only 5 days away, and two out of five had backed out. The fear of "not fun" never fails to bother me. Sighs. Am I thinking too much? I guess I am. That's me what. Ha.

I miss Miss Wong. Damn. How long haven’t I been seeing her? 2 months? Argh. She better be free to have a girl talk soon! Or I shall silence her!

Talking about Miss Wong, Mr PG is away for almost 3 freaking weeks already! And he said he MAY be back in end of June. The word "may" again. Argh. I need him to help me kill the bots!

And bots, yup, I'm addicted to Dota. Gosh, I am falling in love with Tiny, the Stone Giant; he is so cute! Ha. The bad habit of having a game and an episode of Family Guy before I enter Lala land is getting me! Oh no!

-thinks-
-clicks to Frozen Throne-

For the first time, allow me to risk my life to blog during work time. It is my last day here, so heck it, sack me if you want! I will leave at 4.30pm anyway.

Last week was festive. I went shopping on Thursday with my sister. I was craving for seafood platter for one in Fish & Co. (it is absolutely delicious and you ought to agree with that) and we headed down to Wheelocks Place to realize that the outlet is closed! So sad right? There isn’t any notice lah. We had to settle down in Big O in the end. The seafood wasn’t that bad (but it can never be compared to Fish & Co.’s) except for the crabmeat cake! Oh my, they should have named it as craPmeat cake instead lah. Eew. And my sister just had to stuff me with food, so much that I almost puked.

Let me try the dory fish first.

Hmmm... Not bad.

And these were all cleared by me eventually. Ha.

I don’t know why my sister just loves to drag me into Isetan of Lido.

First stop, Mac Cosmetics (I had to put the word “cosmetic” so as to avoid misinterpretation of McDonald’s –slaps forehead–). 4 items for $150, okay right? I was not the one paying that’s why. Ha.

Next stop, Mango. I pulled her out from one of the outlets to stop her from impulsive shopping the previous shopping spree and she had to go back to get that pants because the pants had given her nightmares (that's what she claimed).

Third stop, level 2 ladies wear. Sometimes I just don’t understand why she likes that brand some much; it was one and only one design that we both love and she fell in love with the brand already. –mental block– Hmmm. Then, shopping for branded stuff. She is rich what, and that makes her qualify to enter Coach, Gucci, LV, blah blah blah. With the way she was swiping her card, I was so terrified that she may just go bankrupt. So, at 9.20pm, I had to drag her home.

The polytechnic was a success, I suppose. We had Café Cartel for dinner and despite going there earlier to queue up, we waited for more than 45 minutes for a table of 10 (I hate waiting –pui–). Settle’s café is my choice for all gatherings because they take reservations! So, yup, it is like almost my 20th trip there already. Ha. And the game, Quelf, is in my favourite list now! It was extremely fun when playing with them! Ha! Many performances sia, we should have recorded in video! –stands up and everyone stands up– Couldn't stop laughing man.

After the game, we were like taking photos for about half an hour lah.

Plus Sophia, she was busy on the phone.

Presenting the ladies of the class!

The driver lost his way and luckily the people staying in the west were in the car. So, my buddy, his girl and I went to a bar that I really like, Jazz Bar. Happily ordered a pint of Erdinger wheat, enjoying Jazz and then, ten minutes later, the waiter asked for last order. Argh! They close at 2am! And we went in at like 1.30am lah. Lucky the drive lost his way, if not…

We had a heart to heart talk by the river with my buddy’s and my face red like tomatoes. Ha. Though it was really something that I really don’t talk about but still, they are someone who I believe I can trust. And yup, I don’t know why I can click so well with his girl, like we could anything and everything under the sun. Ha.

The tuition was brought forward so that I could attend a stupid briefing conducted by the agents for this trade exhibition. I can’t help it but I just think that they are super disorganize and that the biatch was damn naggy, make me almost fell asleep lah. It could be done in 30 minutes lah, but it took up 3 hours of my precious afternoon. Nb.

Father’s day is brought forward too, to Saturday night. Celebration is a must I would say, so we had a dinner in Villa Bali. Okay, what is the first thing that comes to your mind when I say Villa Bali? Restaurant right? And my sister didn’t clarify with my parents and I, causing us to be dressed formally lah. The food place was hot and my poor dad was sweating like a pig! Since we were in alexandra, we made our way to the new bridge that links all the parks together and I was to walk with my heels! Damn.

I was literally wearing a dress and heels lah. Argh.

Resting after the dinner? Nope. I had to go over to my friend’s place to stay over so that we could take a same cab and claim the cab fare from the organizer of the canvass. My friend and I thought that we could sleep over, but when the other friend took out the game, Munchkin, no one is sleepy anymore. It is a strategy game and one game will take about 1 to 2 hours. It’s so fun! I want to buy the game too!

4 pimples appeared just because I didn’t sleep the whole night. Argh. McDonald’s breakfast was bought before we rushed down to get our canvassing event (Anlene Run) done. Imagine, you didn’t sleep the whole night and you had to help numbers of people attaching the timechip onto the shoe laces, plus you had to give out goodie bags to 4 thousand people. And then a freaking bugger came up to me and fark me up because of some goodie bags! Isn’t that furious? It was entirely none of my business because I was merely helping out lor. –pui– Kanna tio fark until no face sia. Damn du lan one right?

Sunday is the last day for the PC show and with the fact that Miss Yip would be there, I thought it would be a good chance to get myself some accessories for my 3 year old Acer. Exhaustion makes a person dies on the bed. I couldn’t wake up despite of 4 alarms and a phone call. But don’t know why, I woke up automatically after 2 hours. The show was terribly packed with people, and I hope that will be the last time I am going to be in such crowded places. Can that even happen in this overpopulating small island? -wonder-

Genki was officially now Yotei! The food is almost the same (just some additional items, that’s all) but the prices have gone up! And yup, we had a Suki Yaki and Tori Katsu Don.

That’s last week and for the past 4 days, I have been here, bloody Expo! Sleep late, wake up early, like as if I am training my bioclock for the upcoming camps sia. Well, this should be too much for any reader to digest, so I shall update the details of the job next time.

P.s.: The big shots were hanging around me upon completion of post, thus causing a delay in posting.

Stress. Too many things, too little time.

Tomorrow's a poly class gathering and everytime without fail, I fear it would be a failure. Will anyone put aeroplane? Will they mind the programs that are planned for them? These questions kept popping out in my mind. Sighs.

I am running from central to west, west to east and east to central almost everyday. Damn. I can't wait to get the sticker to be pasted onto my licence.

Talking about that, I don't know why, I just didn't want anyone to know about that. Probably it is kind of disgrace when people know that I failed my trial test and still stuck at one of the practicals. Yup, I am taking up bike. Don't laugh at me. And I want a Aprilia RS 125 with a Arai Full face helmet! -roar-

Sunday morning: Anlene run
Monday to Friday: Expo Exhibition
In between: 3 tuition kids

What to do? Here give, there take. Damn broke la, so broke that I got desperate. So, don't try to dare me with any nonsense, or else you will end up like Miss Yip, paying $10 for a less than 30 seconds dare. Ha.

BUT! I am going shopping later! Cause all bills are credited to the person who just got many months of bonus! Yeah! It is time to stock up whatever I need! Especially for the upcoming events! Outdoor Adventure Camp and Insinyur Camp! Yippee!

-gone-
